ALBION - Kirk Allen Weeks, 62, of Albion, Indiana, left his painful body behind on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, surrounded by his family.
Born on Oct. 22, 1962, in Columbia City, Indiana, he was a son of Larry and Patricia (Boggs) Weeks. He spent his entire childhood in Wolf Lake where he made life-long friends.
His greatest love was his family, followed by motor cross, running "his" crane at Martn's, serving in the Air Force, comparing stories with his father-in-law, and reminding everyone who would listen about those things! His sense of humor, laugh, and "great hair" were beyond compare. He will be forever missed.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Diane (DePew); sons, Gavin (Mikel) Weeks, Simon (Alyssa) Weeks, Lucas Weeks and Austin "Frog" (Jazmond) Leitch; daughter, Heather Snyder; grandchildren, Rylee (Tanner) Frain, Shayla Frain, Emal Weeks, Sam Leitch, Rylee Watson and Stormi Watson. Also surviving are siblings, Dan (Nancy) Weeks, Randy (Melinda) Weeks, Perry (Deb) Weeks, Kent (Carolyn) Weeks and Amy (Richard) Nicholes; mother-in-law, Bonnie Brownell; father-in-law, Roger DePew; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Emalee Frain; and his parents.
A service celebrating Kirk's life will be held at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Oct 16, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with military honors to follow.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

To the family of Kirk, we are so sorry for your loss. He was an incredible man, and when he said his crane was his crane no doubt about it. That was HIS CRANE!!!...his laugh was contagious... .and in the the crazy times that he shared with all the boys at Martins was unforgettable for sure!!!! He was always sweet when we saw him and he was always professional on the job. Everyone loved him hold onto the memories and know that he left this world having made his mark in a lot of people`s hearts ...
