KENDALLVILLE - Larry Eugene McClellan, passed away in his hometown of Kendallville, Indiana, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born on April 22, 1940, son of the late Raymond and Lucille (Gillispe) McClellan, Larry's life journey was one deeply rooted in the same community where he would eventually say his goodbyes.
A devoted husband, Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Emma McClellan, with whom he shared a life full of devotion and mutual support. Together, they weathered the highs and lows of life, always finding solace in one another's embrace.
Larry was the cherished older brother to Lola Meeder and Teil (Rick) Neff, and the kind-hearted brother, David McClellan, will feel his absence profoundly. His unwavering presence as a brother was felt in times of joy and sorrow, laughter and silence.
Though preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Martin and his son, Billy Joe McClellan, Larry's courageous spirit kept alive the memories of their smiles and the love they shared. His ability to embrace life's challenges with grace was an inspiration to all who knew him.
The McClellan family matriarch and patriarch, Raymond and Lucille, instilled in Larry values of love, kindness, and courage - traits that defined his every interaction. These values he upheld with every step, every handshake, and every hug he generously distributed throughout his lifetime.
A private burial of ashes will take place on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Sweet Cemetery, 415 N. C.R. 300E, Albion, IN, 46701.
