AUBURN - Marjorie W. "Marge" Hantz, 85, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1939, in West Mansfield, Ohio, to Milan and Mary (Pearson) Powell.
Marge was a 1957 graduate of Metz High School.
She married Wendell J. Hantz on July 20, 1957, at North Scott Christian Church in Steuben County.
Marge worked for 10 years in the cafeteria at Butler Elementary School, before becoming a homemaker and dedicating her time to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at home.
She was an avid NASCAR fan, who loved cheering for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed playing cards and cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Wendell J. Hantz, of Auburn; four children and their spouses, Julie and Roger Hess, of Auburn, Cathy and Wayde Anderson, of Auburn, Wesley and Jackie Hantz, of Auburn and Sandy and Sam Reinoehl, of Ashley; five grandchildren, Ryan (Angel) Masters, of Auburn, Meagan (Dustin) Harmes, of Waterloo, Matthew Reinoehl, of Fort Wayne, Whitney Hantz, of Columbia City and Wade (Jackie Wilkinson) Hantz, of Auburn; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Mary Ann) Powell, of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bill Powell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service.
Pastor Valarie Kline will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Visitation also will be from 3-7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the funeral home.
