PLAINWELL, Mich. - Megan Marie Jones, 47, of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at her mother's home in Angola, Indiana.
Megan was born on May 10, 1978, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Robert S. Jones and Michaelynn A. "Mickey" (Wallingford) Wilson.
She graduated from Mason County High School, Maysville, Kentucky, in 1996, and received her bachelor's degree from Georgetown University in 2000.
In her early career, Megan worked at the family business, Highland Computer Forms in Angola, Indiana. She then worked as a social worker for Kentucky Cabinet of Healthcare and for Great Lakes Hospice and Home Healthcare.
She was a member of United Church of Wayland in Michigan, and volunteered for CAVA.
She is survived by her father, Robert (Cathy) Jones, of Hillsboro, Ohio; mother, Michaelynn A. "Mickey" (Phil) Wilson, of Angola, Indiana; wife, Shannon (Sears) Jones, of Plainwell, Michigan; children, Justin (Rachel Luedecking) Sears, of Allegan, Michigan, Corbin Johnston, of Plainwell, Michigan, and Elliana Johnston, of Plainwell, Michigan. Also surviving are her siblings, Rob (Julie) Jones, of Angola, Indiana, Jay (Ryan) Jones, of Lexington, Kentucky, Jacob Tyler "Bubba" Jones, of Columbus, Ohio,
Gary (Tracie) Wilson, of Cumming, Georgia, Bob (Tammy) Wilson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katie (Bill) Conrad, of Marietta, Georgia, and Cindy (Don) Abate, of Fayette, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at the Wilson's residence in Angola, Indiana.
Private graveside services will take place with burial in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
