SOUTH MILFORD - Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Traster, 70, of South Milford, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.
She was born on July 29, 1953, in East McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Seibert and Marilyn (Breon) Ramsey.
Becky was a DeKalb High School graduate and worked in the office at J.O. Mory for more than 20 years, retiring in 2009.
She loved the outdoors including spending time gardening, mushroom hunting, and even parachuting. Becky also loved animals, especially horses. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
On Dec. 9, 1972, in South Milford, she married John Traster. He survives in South Milford. Also surviving are sons, Matt (Jodi) Traster, of Butler and Derek (Shawna) Traster, of Auburn; seven grandchildren; brothers, Randy (Julie) Ramsey, of Auburn, Tracy (Jayne) Ramsey, of Auburn and Dennis (Mary) Ramsey, of Pleasant Lake; and sister, Cindy Ramsey of Louisiana. Also surviving are treasured friends, Kate Willimas and Melinda Stackhouse; and many nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her daughter, Tara Traster; her parents; and grandson, Ethan.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N. Main St., Avilla.
Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m., on Saturday at the funeral home.
