Richard Weston Obituary

FORT WAYNE - Richard D. Weston, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at home.

Born Sept. 12, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of the late Robert and Fern (Maywhore) Weston.

He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1966.

On Aug. 8, 2008, he married Sylvia Huett in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Rick was a flooring inspector.

He was an active member of Calvary Christian Fellowship and was also a member of Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Rick loved road trips, woodworking and playing with his grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his wife, Sylvia; children, Tammy Thomas, Sherry (Corey) Morr, Randy (Mary) Weston; step-children, Bob (Amy) Kokovay and Karen (Lofty) Kokovay; grandchildren, Natalie (Justin) Hiser, Nichole Thomas, Justin Morr, Dustin Morr, Toni Morr, Elliott Green and Cooper Green.

Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Weeks.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Friday, May 9, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Rick's memory to Kidney or Diabetes Foundation.
