FORT WAYNE - Ronald Joseph Fetter, 75, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1949, in Garrett, Indiana. He is the son of the late Floyd and Marjorie Fetter.
He proudly served four years in the United States Navy.
In addition, while working full-time, he was able to earn several degrees from Purdue Fort Wayne and University of St. Francis in engineering and business.
Ron retired as a Supplier Quality engineer from Navistar after 35 years, where he worked in many different roles over his career. After retirement from Navistar, he worked for Heil trucks and as a consultant.
He was an avid reader and loved to travel, including his favorite place, Key West, Florida, where he enjoyed listening to Jimmy Buffett.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Fetter, of Fort Wayne; children, Matthew (Cindy) Fetter, Jessica (Eric) Buss, both of Auburn; siblings, Connie (Ron) Dicke, Bill (Star) Fetter, John (Anne) Fetter, Anita Tullis, Tina (Tom) Drzewiecki; and eight grandchildren.
His children and siblings will be hosting a Celebration of Life together at a later date for family and close friends.
