AUBURN - Steven T. Karst, 75, of Auburn, Indiana, went home to the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Huntington, Indiana, son of the late Richard and Lilah (Cook) Karst on April 24, 1949.
Steven graduated from Huntington Catholic High School and Ivy Tech. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War.
Steven married Rosemary Ladd on June 27, 1998.
He attended Robinson Chapel UMC.
Steven loved fishing, metal detecting, bird watching, drawing and writing.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary; children, Scott (Julie) Karst, Tami Karst, Stefanie Clark, Roger Clark and Sara Clark; honorary daughter, Ashley Aspacher; grandchildren, Taylor Giltrap, Kerigan (Alex) Eversman, C'arra Karst, Evan Karst, Jenna Karst, Joseph Janisse and Ella Looser; great-grandsons, Mack Asbridge and one on the way; siblings, Donna Karst, Vince (Suzy) Karst, Carol Cocklin and Debbie Eckart; and a host of relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Penny Karst; son, Jeremy Karst; and brothers, Greg, Tim, Don, Randy and John.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Robinson Chapel UMC, 12707 Tonkel Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46845.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 4-8 p.m., at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
Burial will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice or Allen County 4-H.
