Clara Hunt Obituary

Maysville, Missouri….Clara Evelyn Hunt, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2025. She was born May 16, 1936, in Dearborn, Missouri to Roy Henry and Martha (Edwards) Arnold. Clara graduated from North Platte High School in 1954. On December 24, 1955, she married the love of her life, Okal Hunt, at Winnwood Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Together they shared 68 wonderful years filled with laughter, faith, and love before Okal's passing last year. Clara devoted her life to her family and to the farm they built together. She worked hard every day beside Okal ~ feeding animals, tending the fields, managing the many tasks that came with farm life. When she wasn't outside working on the farm she was busy keeping the home running. She was known for her excellent cooking ~ especially her pies. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Okal; brothers, Robert Arnold and Jackie Arnold; and grandson, Leo Wagers. Survivors include her three sons, Arnold (Lorraine), Brian (Linda) Hunt, Carl (Beverly Sue) Hunt; nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Turner Cemetery ~ Rushville, MO or Comfort Care Hospice. Online Condolences: www.turnerfamilyfuneral.com
