Eddie Spencer Obituary

Eddie Joe (EJ) Spencer 93, of Savannah, MO passed away at his home in Savannah surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was born on October 13, 1932 to Floyd & Anna (Wilson) Spencer. He married Norma Jean Lambert in St. Joseph on September 27, 1957. She survives of the home. Eddie enlisted in the Army in 1952 at the age of 18 and served 3 years until 1955. He was a proud St. Joseph Light & Power District Foreman serving several counties around Savannah from 1957 until his retirement in 1994. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman and never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Eadie Jo (Bob) Anderson of Savannah; two grandsons and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, his parents, and six sisters. Visitation and family receiving hour will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Eddie was a wonderful neighbor and a great friend! He was always kind to everyone in the neighborhood and Always watched out for the neighborhood. He would do anything for anyone who asked. Same with his wife Jean.
