Greg Kneib

Greg Kneib, 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away on Wednesday Sept. 17, 2025, while preparing for bed. He was born on October 18, 1958, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Kenneth & Luticia "Tish" Kneib. Greg graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a submariner. Following his service, he worked as a welder at Altec Industries, Inc. until his retirement. Later, he became a facility caretaker at St. Francis Xavier School, where he greatly enjoyed the daily interaction with students that affectionately called him Mr. Greg, he retired in 2023 An avid outdoorsman Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing, winning a Master Angler Award for a giant catfish he caught in the river that runs through the family farm. Greg especially loved riding motorcycles and always had one since he first got his driver's license. Greg is survived by his mother, Tish Kneib; his brother, Stephen Kneib; his sisters, Pam Przybylski (Clem), & Paula Crotty; his brother, David Kneib; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Kneib, and younger brother, Adam Kneib. A Prayer Service will be held for Greg at 2pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Heaton-Bowman­ Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at noon in our chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
