Lee Ehrhardt Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lee Alan Ehrhardt of Platte City,
Missouri. He unexpectedly passed on April 9th, 2025. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on
March 24th, 1953 to Delores and Herman Ehrhardt. He graduated from Pewaukee High School
in 1971, then obtained his associates degree from WCTC where he played on the soccer team. In
1973 he married Dianne Riggs with whom he enjoyed 25 years of marriage. They raised their
two daughters, Erin and Amy, in Hartland and Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. After Dianne lost her
battle with cancer, Lee found love again with Cindy with whom he enjoyed 24 years together,
and were married for 18. Lee found his passion early in life in music. He taught himself to play
guitar, and spent many years playing in bands and writing his own songs. Lee was an avid
Wisconsin sports fan and loved spending his Sundays watching the Packers play. You could
always find Lee with a book in his hand, and later in life he found enjoyment in writing stories
about his life. He loved nature and all it had to offer. He appreciated going on woods walks and
traveling to be in the warm Florida sun. One of his greatest joys in life was his grandkids. His
legacy lives on through them. He passed his love of music onto Dianne, love of history to
Jeffrey, love of sports to Gavin, and love of books to Hunter.
Lee is greeted in eternity by his first wife, Dianne, his parents, Delores and Herman, and
his mother and father-in-law, Dale and Colleen Riggs. He will be deeply missed by his wife,
Cindy, his daughters, Erin (Jason) Healey, Amy (Justin) Jencen, grandchildren, Dianne and
Jeffrey Healey, and Gavin and Hunter Jencen, Lucas and Eli Middleton, Owen and Io Tolbert,
Kira Morrow, and Iris and Cora Kruger, his siblings, Lori (Arnie) Barrack and George (Sarah)
Ehrhardt. He is further survived by his step-children, Lauren (Donnie) Tolbert, Elisa (Charles)
Morrow, Briana Kruger, and Garret (Sabrina Ricci) Kruger, and many relatives and friends.
A memorial will be held on May 25th, 2025 at St. Bruno's Cemetery in Dousman,
Wisconsin, followed by a celebration of life being held at Lapham Peak Park in Delafield,
Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Mid Continent Public Library, Platte City
Branch, one of Lee's favorite places.
