Sharon Wilkinson

Sharon Wilkinson, 89, of St Joseph, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 18 th, 2025. Sharon was born on November 30 th, 1935, in Villisca, Iowa to the late Glenn and Helen Roberta(Goforth) Schantz. She graduated from Villisca High School. Sharon married Macklin Wilkinson on November 16, 1956. Together they bought some property, eventually building their life-long home on it, in 1970. The two of them raised sheep and cattle on their farm. Sharon brought and ran "Country Video" in St Joseph. Mack and Sharon also raised angus bulls and rottweilers. Both attend Deer Park Grace United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed working on the farm, mowing the yard and doing many different types of crafts, including making her own holiday cards. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Mack Wilkinson and son Gregory Macklin Wilkinson. Additional surviving family includes son Chris Wilkinson; five grandchildren: Jason Wilkinson,Christopher Wilkinson, Donavan Wilkinson, Ashlee (Jeff) Helmick, and Kyle Wilkinson; ten great-grandchildren; brother David Schantz and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday April 24 th, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Chapel. Interment to follow at Blakely Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday April 23 rd at the chapel. Memorials would be appreciated to The Shriner's Children's Hospital.
