Barbara Gran Obituary
Barbara was born on October 12, 1935 at Viborg, South Dakota, the daughter of Myron and Nina (Juul) Soyland. She grew up near Irene and graduated from high school in 1954. She then attended Nettleton Business School in Sioux Falls.
Barb worked as an office manager for most of her career in Sioux Falls, including work for an attorney, John Morell's, a plastic manufacturer and real estate office. She married Bobby Gran on October 7, 2007 in Irene. After she retired, Barb joined Bob as he drove truck around the country.
She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and of the Eastern Star. Barb enjoyed sewing, crochet, embroidery and traveling. She also had a "green thumb" and had vegetable garden and grew many rose bushes.
Barb is survived by her husband, Bobby; two sons, Clay and Kevin Gerry; step-daughters, Kristina Gran and Tarra Egger; grandchildren, Terrance (Jasey) Egger, Jerod Gran, Treanna (Frank) Lee; and great grandchildren, Frankie and Francine; a brother, Myron Soyland and a sister, Cindy Leffers.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
