Stan G. Baier

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kinship Pointe in Wayne, May 31, 2025, Saturday, 2p.m. to 4p.m. Military Rites will held at 3:00 p.m. for Stan Baier, age 85, of Wayne. He passed away Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at his home at Kinship Pointe. Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the Baier Family for later designation. The life of Stanley Gordon Baier began on October 11, 1939, born to Christian and Edna (Henriksen) Baier in Wayne, Nebraska. Upon graduating from Wayne High School in 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving his country for two years in Germany. Returning home, Stan began a life of farming with his uncle Paul. In 1962, Stan married Imogene Kiefer, enjoying life and love together for nearly 60 years. In the 1970s Stan took up auctioneering in addition to farming, beginning a successful 40-year career. On his days off and in his spare time, Stan was often found golfing, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene, on April 20, 2022; parents; brother-in-law, Jim Ehlers; sister-in-law, Loretta Baier; and son-in-law, Doug White. He is survived by his children, Jeff Baier (Marji Marshall) of Divide, Colorado, Kelli White of Omaha, Janine (Gary) Miller of Lincoln, Tom Baier (Lisa Peters) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Missy Baier (Mitch Nissen) of Lincoln; grandchildren, DeAnna, Geoff (Sara), and Ryan Coughlin; Kate and Austin Baier; Claire Fay; and Enzo Nissen; sister, Deanna Ehlers; brother, Merrill Baier; sisters-in-law, Mary McLain, Kathy Kiefer, and Vicki Kiefer; brother-in-law, Tim Kiefer; and many nieces and nephews.
