John Collado Obituary

John M. Collado age 63 of DeMotte, Ind. passed away on Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point, Ind. He was born on Dec. 23, 1948 in Evergreen Park, IL to Mariano and Mercedes (Golding) Collado, both deceased.
John received his Master's Degree from Lewis College in Lemont, Ill. and was a math professor at South Suburban College in South Holland, Ill.
John is survived by his life partner, Bernard Hamstra, of DeMotte, Ind.
John is survived by his brothers; Edward Collado, Richard (Joni) Collado, James (Diane) Collado, Michael (Patricia) Collado and Robert (Christy) Collado.
He was an uncle to 9 nieces and nephews and great uncle to 14 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis.
As per John's request cremation was selected.
Friends may call on Saturday December 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Service, 200 Third St. SW, DeMotte, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to The Burrell Cancer Center at St. Anthony's Medical Center, Crown Point, Ind.

My brother and I just found out. Very sad. We both knew John well years ago in the late 60's-70's. A real gentleman and AWESOME dancer!!
