Ann Starr Obituary

Ann Helen Starr was born on September 16, 1943, in Bronx, New York, to her parents, Hugh and Anna O'Brien. She is survived by her husband, Gary, whom she married on August 17, 1963. Ann is also survived by her three children, Garrett, John, and Susanne, her sister, Pat, and grandchildren Seth, Kelsey, Hannah, Christopher, Noah, Sam, Jack, Rachel, Mary, and Sarah, and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon, and her sister, Barbara. Ann was a military wife for twenty-eight years, worked as a Red Cross volunteer, was the head of human resources for Carlson Wagen-Lit Travel, and was an accountant for their family-owned pet store. She also served as the Director of the Care and Share here in Medical Lake. Ann's hobbies included gardening, bargain shopping, and helping others, which found their most satisfying expression in serving people in need through the Care and Share for the past twenty-four years. Ann is remembered for her sharp wit, her great sense of humor, her genuine concern for people in need, and her unreasonable love of pasta. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th at 11:00 am at Cheney Funeral Chapel. A Reception will follow at the funeral home.
