Janice Thayer Lund

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice T. Lund, who passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023 in Garfield, Washington. Janice was born on November 22, 1927 in Newport, Oregon.
Janice was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the much loved daughter of Sheldon and Vernice Thayer.
Janice was an avid outdoorswoman who loved fishing and camping. She was an airplane pilot and a former member of the Ninety-Nines women's flying group. Janice also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and playing games. She was known for her fun sense of humor and her love of flying kites and sledding with her kids when they were young. Janice loved spending time at Priest Lake, Idaho.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Janice M. Latta; daughter, Lucinda L Flook (Bill); son, Greg Johnson (Twila); and son, Steven Lund (Michele). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at Garfield Christian Church on July 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palouse Group of the Sierra Club, box 9932, Moscow, ID 83843 in Janice's memory.
Janice will be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
