Lanie Newton Obituary

Lanie Wilson Newton Jr., 90, of Mount Washington, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, at Green Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in Mount Washington.
He was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Boston to his parents, Lanie Wilson Newton, Sr. and Bessie Nix Newton.
Mr. Newton was a millwright at International Harvester and was a member of Boston Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Minnie Margaret Newton.
Survivors include his son, Ray Newton (Kathy); a daughter, Billie Newton (Donnie) and granddaughter, Nicki Sweat (Curtis).
Services were 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with Bro. Mark Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction has been entrusted with the arrangements.
