Mary Rizer Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. "Barney" Rizer; her parents, Charles H. and Mary Elizabeth Newton Clayton; and siblings, Leonard Clayton, Francis Clayton, Paul Clayton, George Clayton, Ann Gribbins, and Charles Clayton Jr.
Survivors include her six children, George Rizer and Cathy Rizer, both of Bardstown, Libbie (Alfonso) Casso, of Laredo, Texas, Joan Rizer, of Bardstown, Jennifer (Mark) Schaefer, of St. Louis, and William G. (Kelly) Rizer, of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Julia Casso, Liz Hersch, Gabrielle Naus, Alfonso Casso III, Katie Schaefer, Barbara Schaefer, Emily Rizer, and William S. Rizer; four great-grandchildren, Aiden Muller, Ava Muller, Alfonso A. Casso, and Charlotte Naus; and two siblings, Leona Lyvers, of Bardstown, and Louis Clayton, of Louisville.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, July 3, and 8-9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 6 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Catherine College Golf Scholarship.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I just heard from my aunt Mary Wimsatt that your mom had died. Always loved her smile and sense of humor. It was great being neighbors with your family. So sorry for your loss.

To all the Rizer "kids": So sorry to hear about Aunt Kettle passing, and also sorry I won't be able to make it to visitation or the funeral. My husband is recovering from serious surgery. You all will be in thoughts, prayers, and heart. Sending big hugs to all my cousins!
