Adeline Clements
January 12, 1935 - November 9, 2025
SPARTA - Adeline Elizabeth Clements, 90, of Sparta, Wisc., passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Morrow Memorial Home in Sparta. She was born January 12, 1935, in Monroe County, Wisc., the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Brueggen) Mlsna.
She was baptized at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary's Ridge. October 24, 1956, she was united in marriage to Arnold Clements at the same church that she received her baptismal sacrament. Together they farmed in Bohemian Valley on the beloved Meadow Brook Farm for 32 years. Adeline worked at the St. Joseph's Villa for many years and in 1988, due to some illness, she and Arnie moved off the farm and to St. Joeph's Ridge. Her life was a hymn of love and light, sung through the passion she held for music.
Adeline is survived by three sisters, Lorraine Olson of Sparta, Wisc., Barbara (John) Kroener of Tomah, Wisc., and Charlotte (Byron) Schmitz of Sparta, Wisc.; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold in 1993; her parents, William and Elizabeth Mlsna; two brothers, LaVerne "Butch," and Alred Mlsna; sisters-in-law, Norma Mlsna, Elaine Mather, Adeline Clements and Karen Rodrigues; brothers-in-law, Robert Walker, Victor Clements, Ralph Clements, David Fritsch, Eugene Olson, Ike Clements, and Syd Mather.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 11 a.m., at St. Peters Catholic Church, Middle Ridge with burial following in the church cemetery. Father Sen will officiate. Family and friends are invited for visitation Monday, November 17, 2025, beginning at 3:45 p.m., with the rosary and visitation will continue until 7 p.m. at Torkelson Funeral Home, 718 Wisconsin St., Cashton, Wisc. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Adeline's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Bridgepath Assisted Living and Memory Care at the Morrow Home in Sparta, Wisc., especially the dedicated PNA's on the second floor. Your kindness, compassion, and the way you cared for her like family, lovingly calling her "Addie," will never be forgotten. A special thank you as well to Tomah Health Hospice for your gentle support and compassionate care during a difficult time. Your presence made all the difference.
