Franklin R. Rediske
Franklin R. Rediske, 88, of La Crosse passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
He was born in La Crosse, Nov. 14, 1932, to William and Mary (Kerska) Rediske. He attended La Crosse schools and graduated from La Crosse Central High School. Upon graduation, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. On Aug. 31, 1957, Frank married Beverly Betz at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Bev preceded him in death Oct. 7, 2003.
Frank worked for almost 40 years as a welder for the Trane Company in La Crosse, before retiring. He was a member of the Trane Company 25-Year Club and was active in the local union for many years, even following his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Packers and Badgers. In his free time, Frank enjoyed "puttering" around the house. He loved being outside and feeding the birds, even making sure they had food during winter-time. He especially loved spending time with Buddy, his Jack Russell terrier. From the day Buddy arrived as a puppy, they were inseparable.
He is survived by his children, Janice Molinaro of Racine, Wis., Kevin Rediske of Stoddard, Duane (Chris) Rediske of La Crosse, and David Rediske of La Crosse; five grandchildren, Joseph Schaefer of Chicago, Tyler (Kenndera) Rediske of Round Rock, Texas, Gianna Molinaro of Sterling, Ill., and Joshua and Jordan Rediske, both of Winona, Minn.; one sister, Alice Ingham of La Crosse; sister-in-law, Shirley Rediske of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Bev, Frank was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Arthur, and John Rediske; a sister, Irene Hanson; and his faithful companion, Buddy.
There will be no formal services scheduled as were Frank's wishes. A graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse, at a later date. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse is assisting the family. Online condolences may be submitted at www.schumacher-kish.com.

Oh I´m so sorryFrank and Buddy will both be missed. I so enjoyed giving treats to Buddy, who raced my mail truck to the end of the yard. I will miss Frank´s friendly wave and seeing him do the loop feeding the birds as well. My thoughts are with you all.
