Joan Lenox Obituary

Joan Anne Lenox, 67, of La Crosse, Wis., passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 17, 1957, in St. Petersburg, Fla., Joan was the cherished daughter of Jack and Ethel Snider. She married the love of her life, Donald Lenox, on May 1, 1976. Together they built a beautiful life until his passing in 2010.
Joan is lovingly remembered by her three children, Wendy (Chad) Gamble, Ben (Toni Hanson) Lenox, and Lindsay (Bailey) Brown; her three grandchildren, Zach, Alex, and Delilah; her two devoted brothers, John (Mary) Snider and Jerry (Marie) Snider; and her very special partner, John Matson, who was with Joan every step of the way over the last decade. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and her parents, Jack and Ethel Snider.
Joan had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in cooking for others. A proud Green Bay Packers fan, she brought warmth and enthusiasm to every gathering she attended. Her kindness, tenacity and passion for life will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
With unwavering appreciation, Joan's family and friends would like to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff of the following facilities, for all the top notch patience and care provided for Joan Lenox over the last two years: Gundersen (La Crosse, Onalaska, and Whitehall), Bethany Riverside (La Crosse), Caretta Senior Living (Holmen), Benedictine Living Community (La Crosse), and Mulder Health Care Facility (West Salem).
A Celebration of Life for Joan Lenox will be held on Sunday, January 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the American Legion Post 336 in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
May Joan's memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspire others to live with the same generosity and spirit she shared throughout her life.
