To Karen's family, I am sorry for your loss. I have known Karen since High School. We were also in a Logan lunch group together. I have always found her to be warm, kind and genuine. Her quiet presence and smile will be missed. Hold on to your memories and pass on the good things she taught you.

I have known Karen since I became friends with her sister Missy in fourth grade. Karen was always kind and smiling! I spent a lot of time at the McCaffrey house through many years of friendship with the whole family. Missy and I would often babysit Karen and Gerald´s kids when they were little. I always enjoyed our talks and laughter with Karen and she will be missed! She is also in heaven I know with her family who were waiting for her. God bless her family! Diane Thorsen

Karen was a friend and co-worker at the Hogan Administration Center. She was a fabulous person being so kind and helpful with everyone she met. It was a privilege to have her friendship at work and outside of work. I ran into her a few months ago at a coffee shop. Little did I know it would be the last time I would see her. My deepest sympathies to her family for losing such a wonderful woman.

I did not have the pleasure of working side-by-side with Karen, but called upon her at Hogan as I worked in different schools in the School District of La Crosse. She was always kind, helpful and patient. I am sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in your memories.

Gerry and kids---
I have such wonderful memories of working with Karen. First, as a teacher assistant in the school district and then at Hogan. She and I worked together doing union work. We made a fantastic team!! She always made the meetings fun and worth attending. I have thought about her many times over the years and wanted to get together, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.
When we did see each other, she would bring me up to date with what was happening with the kids and grandkids. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed.
My prayers and sympathies are with all of you!
