LeRoy Schultz Obituary
February 3, 1942 - August 10, 2025
LeRoy D. Schultz, 83, of Stoddard, Wis., passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, at Mayo Clinic in La Crosse.
He was born on February 3, 1942, to Leo and Hildegard (Zimmerman) Schultz in Madison, Wis., where he resided until moving to La Crosse in the early 1970s. LeRoy worked and retired from Century Telephone. He had a strong passion for model railroading and also enjoyed watching soccer and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Barbara in 1992, Sandy in 2006, and Nicki in 2015; his brother, Walter Schultz; and his sister-in-law, Karen Schultz. LeRoy is survived by his children, Sue (Dan) Fladhammer of De Soto, Wis., and Stewart (Trisha) Schultz of La Crosse, Wis.; five grandchildren, Melissa (Luke) Nolte of Menomonie, Wis., Dr. Alexandria Fladhammer (Jesse Nielsen) of Hastings, Neb., Eric Fladhammer of De Soto, Wis., Megan Schultz of La Crosse, Wis., and Jenna Schultz of La Crosse, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Graeme Nolte of Menomonie, Wis.; brother, Jim Schultz of Madison, Wis.; brother-in-law, Glenn (Ann) Johnston of Middleton, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Schumacher-Kish in La Crosse. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and palliative care team on 5-A for their great care of Dad, especially Dr. Josh Scheil and Pastor Lenny. Also, a heartfelt appreciation to the Stoddard First Responders for their compassion and kindness.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Stoddard Bergen Fire Department in LeRoy's honor.
