Thomas Nagle
Thomas Raphael Nagle, age 74, of Houston, MN, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Billings, MT, returning home from his trip to Yellowstone, following a hard battle with diabetes and cancer.
Tom was born July 29, 1950, in La Crosse, WI, the son of Raphael and Kathleen (Flanigan) Nagle. He attended Pickwick Grade School, and graduated from Winona Senior High School. He went on to attend Winona Technical College, earning his associate degree in auto body. He served his country in the United States Army. He held many jobs on farms and auto garages, and dump truck driving in the Winona area. Eventually he began working as a rail road mechanic, which he did for 30 years until his retirement in 2010. In the earlier years, Tom enjoyed playing softball, and going to NASCAR races with Becky and his children. He loved old cars and going to car shows. Tom was a member of the Hellraisers Car Club in Winona, and was a proud owner of a 1939 Chevy Sedan, and a 1947 Ford Coupe. More than anything, he loved spending time with his granddaughter, Macy.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; son, Kevin (Courtney), and her children: Tilden, and Emerson; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Jarchow, and their daughter Macy; siblings: Mary Lu Frey, Robert (Deborah), Peg Lilla, Jack, Kate (John) King, Richard (Laurie), Sherri (Steve) Kramer, and Kevin (Bev); aunts, Nancy Flanigan, and Pat Anderson; uncle, Lowell Botcher; brother-in-law, Dan Botcher, and his children, Addi, and Parker; mother-in-law, Marion Botcher; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law: Geroge Frey, Don Lilla, and Linda Nagle; niece, Emily King; and father-in-law, Jim Botcher.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Renal Dialysis Unit in Onalaska, WI, for the care and friendship they provided to Tom.
