Alberto Mello Obituary

ALBERTO DE MELLO (1933 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alberto De Mello of Winnetka, California, on November 12, 2007, at the age of 74. A native of Macau Portugal, he experienced life many places: Hong Kong, Rio de Janerio, Toronto Canada and finally settling down in Los Angeles, California, where he plied his tr ade as an animator and art director for many major studios. In 1996, he retired and pursued his love of travel with extended trips to Mexico, Europe, and Brazil. After that he settled down to put his creative skills to good use: writing, designing and producing children's stories based on Brazilian mythology. He will be missed by his brother Andy, sister-in-law Olivia, niece Jessica and nephew Jonathan, all from Calgary, Canada; and many aunts and uncles in Portugal, San Francisco and Toronto . In California he will be missed by special friends, Dan and Sheila Mills, Carlos Tavares, and many friends from Filmations, Warner Brothers Studios. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at Gates Kingsley & Gates Praiswater Chapel, 6909 Canoga Ave., Canoga Park. Services entrusted to Gates Kingsley & Gates Praiswater Mortuary Canoga Park 818-348-3354
