DAVID SOBEL Obituary

Age 54, of Simi Valley, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010, at Simi Valley Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Dave was born July 2, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, the son of late Glory and Martin Sobel. He is the oldest of two siblings. He graduated from University of California Los Angeles in 1978, with a bachelors of arts degree in Political Science. Dave married Anita Tipples on April 21, 1979, at his parents' home in Northridge, California. He was employed by Pharmavite as a marketing manager for more than 25 years. Dave enjoyed golf, and supported a number of golf tournaments raising money for LLS and teens at risk. Dave is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita Sobel; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Aaron Miller of Simi Valley; daughter, Pamela Sobel, DPT of Woodland Hills; son, Scott Sobel of Simi Valley; granddaughters, Jordyn and Hayden Miller; sister, Barbara Vispi of Van Nuys; nephews, Joshua and Marcello Vispi; and loving friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Simi Covenant Church, 4680 Alamo St., Simi Valley. REARDON SIMI VALLEY FUNERAL HOME 805-526-6677
