Edward Whittaker Obituary

EDWARD WHITTAKER
May 25, 1924 – March 22, 2014

Edward Whittaker, 89, of Valencia California went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2014.

He was born in Detroit Michigan, the son of Joseph and Rosy (Mayberry) Whittaker, both originally from Tennessee. After graduating in 1942 from Southeastern High School in Detroit, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a Navigator, Bombardier on a B-25 bomber. After the war, he returned home and married his beautiful wife of 63 years, Emmaline (Riese) Whittaker.

Ed was a devoted husband, dedicated family man, long time baseball coach in Simi Valley (Santa Susana Boys Baseball) and just a very special human being. Ed is survived by his wife Emme, daughter Janet Rollins, sons Craig and Robert, his sister Margaret Beattie and grandchildren Danny Rollins, Rebecca Garcia, Jeffrey and Jeremy Whittaker.

Interment is scheduled for Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, May 23rd, 11AM.

My dad was a special person. He will be laid to rest on Friday, May 19th, 11AM, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall. We love you Dad, all of us, you are so missed!
