John Barter

JOHN ROBERT BARTER #1> Age 61, joined his recently deceased twin brother, James Barter, in Heaven with our Lord on December 14, 2005. He was born in Gloversville, New York on October 14, 1944. John was a Cold War Veteran in the United States Navy and served his country proudly aboard the USS Shennadowa. He was also a long-time valley resident and one of the valley's friendliest and personable bartenders. John worked at Woo dly Golf Course for many years and at the time of his death he was employed by Sucuritas Security Services at Green Arrow. John is survived by his long-time and loyal best-friends, Jim and Rosalie Daley; a sister, Patricia Strausser of New York; his son, Michael John Barter and grandson, Austin Michael Barter of Astoria, Oregon. A Memorial Service will be held at Pathway Christian Fellowship, 9950 Balboa Blvd., Northridge, on Saturday, January 7, 2006, 4:00 p.m.
