Mary Lewandowski Obituary
May 1, 1933 - October 24, 2014
Mary Theresa Lewandowski peacefully passed away at home on October 24, 2014. Born in Boonville, NY, Mary came to California in 1954 after completing nurses training at Saint Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. A graduate of Chapman College with a BS degree, she was a Registered Nurse for over 50 years serving at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, CA, as well as many other area hospitals and nursing homes.
Mary was married to the late Bud Lewandowski, proprietor of the Majestic Tire Company in Tujunga, CA, for 52 years. Mary is survived by her son, Joseph (Sandy) Lewandowski; daughter, Theresa (Richard) Fredrickson; daughter, Elisabeth Gladstein Lewandowski; son, Steven (Cathy Raine) Lewandowski; and four grandchildren, Charles and Gordon Fredrickson and Lucas and Alea Gladstein.
A Visitation-Rosary will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, 5:30–8:00pm, at Crippen Mortuary in La Crescenta. Funeral Mass will be held November 8, 2014, 12 noon, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Tujunga. Interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar, CA. Donations can be made in her honor to the Sunland-Tujunga Art Association, C/O Nancy Bearce 1932 Waltonia Dr., Montrose, CA 91020. Arrangements made by www.CrippenMortuary.com

I will always remember Mary wearing a smile. She and my Aunt Phil visited me in Cottonwood, AZ....we had a wonderful time...but I have known Mary since my children attended Our Lady of Lourdes School. God grant you peace knowing that you had a wonderful Mom who brought joy to many...and she was one great nurse. Ciao, Mary.
