RICHARD "RITCHIE" BIDAL ENCINAS July 20, 1909 - Jan. 1, 2004 Born in Hayden, Arizona; passed away at Desert Life Rehab and Care Center in Tucson, Arizona after a five year illness from Alzheimer's Disease. Richard grew up in Hayden; married Lucy Acuna, had a son named Richard Jr., moved to California in 1932, settling down in Reseda and Canoga Park where they lived through the depression and WWII. During the next 55 years, he worked with WPA and as manager of '76 and Texaco gas stations, enjoyed sports and playing baseball for the local teams. Then worked for Atomics International as Inventory Spec. where he joined the company bowling team. He retired in 1974; did some t raveling and in 1987 decided to re-marry and settle down with Petra Cordova in his home town of Hayden. Living there until his final resting place in Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden, where he had a Christian burial. He is survived by his wife, Petra; step-son, Randy and wife Jovita; and step-grandchildren, Javier, Rene and Mario Cordova. From his first marriage were Armida and Joey Encinas and Linda Hernandez; and step-daughter, Rosemary Valdez. He had nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandch ildren, two great great grandchildren; nephews, Ray, and Eli and wife Mary Munoz; and many more relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. His parents, Francisco and Isabel; brothers, Eli, Pete, Joe and Frank Encinas, Abe Mendibles and Babe Valencia; sister, Frances "Chica" Munoz; and Richard Jr., preceded him in death. "UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN" In tears we saw you sinking we watched you fade away, you suffered much in silence you fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage struggling for every breath of air, and still you kept on fighting up until the very end. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with me." So when we saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain, we could not wish you back, to suffer that again. In tears we watched you go, to your Heavenly Home above where there is no pain, but only joy and love.
