William Child Obituary

WILLIAM T. CHILD Born in Rahway, New Jersey on September 1, 1931, Bill Child died on May 31, 2007 after a year's battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Amy (Greg) Marella their son Zachary Marella. They will have a daughter Samantha due to come into this world this week. He is also survived by sons David (Heather) Child and daughter Cameran (Cami) and son, Cooper, and also son Dan (Rebekah) Child. Bill's parents, W. Thomas Child and Louise Child, have preceded him in death. Other surviving relatives include his brother, Bob (Marie) Child and their children and grandchildren. In addition a sister Margaret Child and a brother Joe (Martha) and their children and grand children survive him. Bill was a nurse for many years at Kaiser Hospital in Panorama City. He was loved by all who work with, and for him. His gentle spirit and great faith made all w ho knew him, admire his ability to deal with others, and regarded his kindness to all with whom he came in contact, a quality to be emulated. We will all miss him greatly, but will look to him each day, asking for his hand to help guide us through each day. The rosary will be held at Mission Hills Mortuary, Mission Hills, Wednesday, June 6, 2007, 7:00 p.m., and the funeral Mass will be held at St. John Eudes Catholic Church, Chatsworth, Thursday, June 7, 2007, t 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, plea se make donations to the St John Eudes Men's Council, 9901 Mason Ave., Chatsworth, CA 91311. What a privilege to have known Bill and his wife Judy. I will miss him greatly. I have fond memories and will keep Bill in my prayers. Judy, all my love. I just had a KPC nurse in LV tell me about Bill.
