Garry Dunson Obituary

Garry Dunson, 77, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, and Sydney, Ohio, passed away Nov. 17, 2020, in Ocala.

He was born on November 16, 1943, to the late John and Hazel Dunson in Wichita, KS.

Garry was a graduate of Sydney High School in Sydney, Ohio.

He was a retired landscaper.

In addition to the death of his parents, his daughter, Jennifer Dunson, survived him by only 19 months.

He is survived by six children, Shelly Dangler, John Dunson, Angela Dunson-Thomas, Kevin Dunson, Crystal Dunson, and Catherine Dunson; eight grandchildren, Tammy Soffe, Melanie Fuller, Shane Johnson, Collin Dangler, Heather Dunson, Hollie Thomas, Violet Thomas, and Lillie Thomas; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, neighbors, and other relatives to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends for a combined visitation for the Dunson Family on Saturday, March 18, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial services will immediately follow on Saturday afternoon, March 18, at 2 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shane Simpson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chadwell Cemetery located in the Little White Oak Community of Campbell County.

Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of all arrangements.
