Mr. Jimmie Clarence Buchanan, age 80, of LaGrange, died on May 12, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Buchanan was born June 27, 1934 in Woodland, Georgia to the late Henry Clarence and Allene Carney Buchanan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pennie Faith Buchanan and a sister. Mr. Buchanan was an Eagle Scout, served his country in the United States Marine Corps from November 22, 1954 to November 23, 1957 and worked at Milliken 35 years from 1969-2004.
He is survived by his son, Fayne Buchanan, his daughter, Anita Cavender (James); grandchildren, Nicki Highland( Jonathan), Christi Cato (Wayne), Heather Buchanan, Trey Cosper, Drew and Maddie Cavender; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Kinsley, Kale and Kambrey Highland.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Benefield, Rev. Jimmy Pruitt and Rev Jeff Duran. The family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family will be at the home of Anita and James Cavender, 115 Lincoln Lane.
