Ms. Shirley Crooks, age 58, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange.
Ms. Crooks was born December 26, 1956 in Columbus, Ga., the daughter of the late Henry Buddy Crooks and Mary Lee Hamm Crooks. She worked for the Troup County Board of Education as a bus driver and was a homemaker. She loved attending City Light Church and her loyal companion "Little Bit".
Survivors include her three sons and their spouses; Lucas and Lisa Stubblefield, of Va., Josh and Michele Stubblefield of LaGrange, and Justin and Tammy Stubblefield of Va., two sisters, Delaine Bowles and Jennifer Crooks of Pine Mountain; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Mandy Crooks of Durand and Bobby and Shonda Crooks of LaGrange; grandchildren; Arrie Cepeda, Damon Cepeda, Maddox Stubblefield, Phoenix Stubblefield, Chris Stubblefield, Austin Stubblefield, Kaitlyn Stubblefield, Kylie Stubblefield, Hailey Peacher, Luke Peacher, Jacob Peacher, Madeleine Stubblefield, Jake Stubblefield, and Georgia Stubblefield, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bobbi Jo Crooks. .
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:00 at City Light Church with Pastor Sanford Colquit and Pastor Mark Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service starting at 2:00 p.m.
