William "Billy" Linwood Mitchell, Sr. of Pine Mountain Valley, GA died April 3, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Community Chapel, Pine Mountain Valley with burial in the Pine Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Mitchell was born march 28, 1947 in Richmond, VA. He retired as a systems technician for AT and T. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pine Mountain and attended Community Chapel in Pine Mountain Valley. He was a member of the Chipley Masonic Lodge # 40 in Pine Mountain. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father Leroy Linwood Mitchell and his parents Earl B. and Kathryn Odom Chapman.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Lea Mitchell of Pine Mountain Valley; daughter Kelly Mitchell Wilson and her husband Michael and son William Linwood Mitchell, Jr. and his wife Crystal all of Pine Mountain; sister Susie Mitchell Hudson of Chester, VA; two grandchildren: William Austin Mitchell and Abigail Faye Mitchell both of Pine Mountain.
