What a great guy he was. He was my best friends Dad. He and my Dad would race cars out in the Desert, they had such great fun.
The time we, Melinda her Dad and I drove down to San Diego from Arcadia. It was raining and the windshield wiper was broken! He to manually use the wiper, it was so cold ! Just couple of great memories.
Im so sorry for your loss.

Dearest Chris,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband, Richard. I just now took a look at the beautiful photo of the two of you at our World Wings Christmas Party in December, 2018. I am honored to have known him - what an exciting man he was - so talented in many ways and living life to the fullest.
I hope we can get together in the near future.
Much love to you and your family,
Rita Orland

I had the honor and privilege of working with Richard for fifteen years on Palma de la Reina and several other projects. He was tireless, always focused on the end result and a huge believer in the therapeutic power of landscape. I will miss you, Richard.

I went to work for Richard in his Whispering Palms real estate office in 1990. I very quickly learned to respect his vast knowledge of not only real estate development but his passion for life, especially his love of trail horses, owning many champions. Chris and family, I wish you the very best.
