Robert Wells Obituary

Lt. Col. Robert Bob Wells Rancho Bernardo Bob Wells, resident of Rancho Bernardo passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Born in St. Louis, Bob and his family moved to Berkley, MI, where Bob found his love for fishing, golf, football, and eventually the ultimate love of his life, Jeannetta. Bob joined the war effort in 1943 by enlisting in the Army Corps. His squadron was stationed in India, and eventually Tinian where bombing operations were carried out over Japan. Following Japan s surrender, Bob witnessed the liberation of American POWs and dropped needed supplies to them. Bob continued his Air Force career by becoming a pilot and working with NASA. After retirement from military service he started his second career, real estate. Most important to Bob were the lasting friends and associates he acquired. Always an avid golfer and volunteer for numerous organizations. Bob s love of family and friends, his dedication, and his easy going and ever adventurous approach to life will not be forgotten. Bob is survived by his loving wife; two children; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Service have already been held.
