DEBBIE SEYCHELLE

DEBBIE (LANTZ) SEYCHELLE Debbie (Lantz) Seychelle, 68, of Greeley Colorado passed into eternity on Jan. 4, 2024. Although born in Denver, she attended Junior High and High School in La Junta. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed participating in the Drama Club, Madrigals Choir and the Speech and Debate Club. She played some lead roles, including the Queen in Once Upon A Mattress, and Dolly in Annie Get Your Gun. Debbie graduated high school in 1974 and went to college at the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) for her Teacher Licensure and BA in Communications with Minor in Music 1979. In Greeley, she attended Faith Ministries and in 1980, she went to Kenya, Africa with the Missions group where she witnessed miracles of great healing. A few years later, she attended Grace Fellowship in Tulsa where she met and later married W. John Kolb. They have a son together, Joshua, whom they raised in Colorado Springs. Debbie recorded her first professional gospel CD entitled, Deep Waters, in 2000. She and her family moved back to Greeley and she continued her pursuit of music obtaining her Master of Music degree (Emphasis in Music Education) (magna cum laude) in 2012. Debbie enjoyed singing and playing impromptu or new songs on the piano adding words in rhyme (or rapping, when there was no piano available). She was pleased to work with Christian groups ministering to others in need via the music ministry. Debbie also liked travelling, watching adventure and sci-fi movies, playing games, and dinner get-togethers with family and friends. Debbie was an educator and gifted communicator choosing carefully words that would bring life, to edify, encourage, challenge, strengthen and teach others. Debbie was an outgoing, positive, dynamic and friendly person whose presence will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church (Greeley) on Sat., March 23rd.
