I am so sorry to hear of Derrick's passing. Heaven gained another Angel! I worked with Derrick at JCPenney. He was the most kindest, loving person. He helped me through some tough times. He will be missed.

Derrick was such a generous & kind hearted soul who was cherished by all who knew him. We have shared many laughs & great times together in this family and a piece of my heart will definitely never be the same with out him here with us. The only comfort I can find at this time is to know that you are at peace now derrick and that god has sent my daughter one of the best guardian angels I could ever ask for. I promise that this family will constantly remember you in all the good times we shared together and that Claira will know how wonderful you were and how much you loved her and especially how excited you were to meet her. All I can say is that we miss you everyday and we love you very much. We will never forget you and we will continue to celebrate your life. Rest in peace now Derrick.

I offer my deepest sympathies for the Jensen family. Derrick was an amazing guy. I met him attending CMS together, and in the six total weeks we spent together I felt like I had known him for a lot longer. Derrick was a kind, caring, compassionate, and encouraging person. His laughter and smile brightened a room and will truly be missed. Rest in Peace Derrick!!

Derrick is the brother I never had. I met him in November of 2000 and have very fond memories of the good times we've shared. We lived together since 2002 and he was the best friend a guy could ever have. I will miss his smile and effortless ability to pick you up on a rainy day. He was always there for me no matter what without question. I can't believe he's gone. It's so surreal. Every time I turn a corner in our home, I always hope to see him again. I miss him dearly. R.I.P. my brother. May we meet one day again in heaven. Love you.....

My condolences go out to Derrick's friends and family. He was my manager when he was the branch manager at Gurnee. He did indeed have a positive attitude everyday and set a great example for his employees. He accomplished many things in his short life. You will be missed by all.

I had the pleasure of working directly with Derrick for almost three years. His laughter was contagious and spirit infectious... Every day was “fantastic”! He was the most motivational person I have ever met! He was so encouraging and wanted to see everyone succeed. Derrick was an amazing mentor and he gave me many opportunities that I don’t think I would have been given had I been in any other branch. I wish I could have done more for him in return.

I met Derrick at CUNA Management School in 2008. We had alot of fun and learned alot at school. I remember the time he showed off by doing a flip and landed in the splits.
He always talked about the credit union and had a willness to share information with others.

My wife Anissa and myself wish to convey our deepest condolences to the entire Jensen Family. Derrick was a friend, a co-worker, and a shinning light in this world. I learned much from him in the short time that I knew him, and am very appreciative that I was able to make his acquaintence. Derrick was one out 7 Managers I've had since I started at CCU. I remember going out & celebrating his b-day, I learned the fun & humor side of him, dancing the night away. He will be missed by all. My thoughts & prayers goes out to the Jensen family & his dear friends.

Derrick was a caring person, always thinking of others. I remember he even came to pick me up for work when my car was stuck in the driveway because of a snow storm….seriously what manager would do that, only Derrick. I will cherish are conversations and laughs we shared.

I am so sorry to hear of Derrick's passing. I can remember seeing his big smile standing outside of the doors in RLB because he had no key. Patiently waiting for someone to get the doors. I cannot begin to express my deepest sympathies to you. Derrick was a wonderful person, a great friend, a mentor, a kind and fair boss, and I will always remember him as such. My condolences to the Jensen family. Derrick was the the best manager I've ever had the pleasure to work with in my career & to this day I use alot of the skills he taught me. His character and personality was truly one of a kind to appreciate. Every morning his smile and mood would motivate everyone in our branch, its a fact that it was contagious. Derrick was a gentle, caring soul who always put others first. He was one of the most ambitious men I ever knew and was always looking to better himself. What will do without your sense of humor? You always made sure I made it safe back to the dorms at school in Madison, I always felt safe with you. We made a ton of memories and had a ton of laughs, Bucks reunion will not be the same without you. Remember when you took me to the ER and the nurse was asking you questions and you said "I just met her I only know her name" boy that didn't not sound good for either one of us I hope I was worth the time you spent with me in the ER it was priceless for me. That lunch we never had save it for me when I see you in heaven.

To Derrick's family, It saddens me to have to write this. Derrick was such a wonderful person. I spent 2 weeks each summer for the last 3 years, at CMS school with him. Derrick was a part of our small group, with about 8 others, that pretty much did everything together, eating, studying and even weekends to the "Dells". I could always find him by listening for his laugh. He also impressed me, for his age, he had a true understanding and love of the Credit Union. You will continue to be in my prayers during this difficult time.

You have my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of Derrick. I will miss him. I have missed him since he left Gurnee for his promotion. We did keep in contact per emails. He was the BEST branch manager I've ever had. He was always so up-beat, a big smile first thing in the morning. I would ask him how he was that morning and I would always hear from him, "FANTASTIC!" He would set that mood for the entire office. He as so bright and full of energy. It was a true pleasure knowing him and working for him. My life is better for having known him...my deepest sympathy to you all.

Derrick was smart, funny and a person who always went out of his way to help someone in need. I keep remembering when he was one of our CCU Cheerleaders and leaping accross the stage at our employee awards banquet. He was having a great time! I am so very sorry to hear of Derrick's passing. I met him at CMS at the Univ. of Wisconsin and attended the school with him the previous three summers. Derrick was a shining star at the school-bright and friendly and liked by all. I spoke to him just before graduation and he was especially excited to become an uncle. It was apparent that he loved his family very much. He will be missed by the CMS class of 2010. His family is in our thoughts and prayers.
