Survivors include a son, Darren (Kim) Gibson of Beach park, IL; a grandchild, Terren Gibson of Beach Park, IL; brothers and sisters, Hattie Harriet and Mary Lee Frye of Fayette, MS, Martha L. Gibson of Waukegan,IL, Rosie Numa of North Chicago,IL, Annie M. Glover of North Chicago, IL,
Laura (Lawrence) Brandy of Norfolk,Va, Gloria (Daryl) Howell of Newport News,Va, Pearline Gibson-Seymore of Waukegan, IL, Willie (Gloria) Gibson of North Chicago, IL, and Dock S. Gibson of Gurnee, IL; close cousins, Lillian Poole, Sula, Annie, Florence, Velma, Emma, Inez, George, Menford, James and Vernon Gibson; an aunt Rosie Pearl Peters of Las Vegas, NV; an uncle Tommy Terell of Chicago, IL; and a host of other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Theressa Gibson; three brothers, Joseph, Jim and John Gibson; two sisters, Theressa Gibson-Epps and Josie Jennings.
Visitation will be held Friday September 29, 2006 11 am-12 pm, Funeral service 12-1 pm at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 208 Lake St. in Waukegan, IL. Pastor John Caples officiating.
Interment to follow at Pine View Cemetery Beach Park, IL.

emmett was a friend and worked for me at the tannery for many years. I also knew him while I was a waukegan police officer. He was always a very nice guy and people should be glad to known him,I was.
