Erich W. Sichert

Sichert, Erich W. 83 years old of Lindenhurst, IL formerly Trevor, WI passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born September 23, 1929 in Germany the son of the late Franz and Friedericke (Schlattner) Sichert. On October 15, 1949 he married Martha Duelfer in Germany. Survivors include his wife of nearly 63 years, Martha; two daughters, Maria V. Faulkner and Lore (Tom) Mueller; four grandchildren, Sandra (Dan) Larranaga, Jody (Michelle) Faulkner, Christine (Mike) Van Lake, and Andy Mueller; six great-grandchildren, Erich, Tori, Emily, Jake, Morgan, and Chase; and one brother, Gottfried Sichert. When he and his wife came to the United States in 1964, Erich had worked for Hart, Schaffner and Marx as a clothing cutter, and later as a mechanic for the C.T.A. until his retirement. He loved building model railroads in his basement in Trevor and for the past two years, he and Martha have lived at Victory Lakes; where she still resides. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday October 8, 2012 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1501 E. Deep Lake Rd., Antioch. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch. Visitation will be from 1-5PM Sunday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) and at the church Monday from 10AM until time of services. INFO 847-395-4000.
