Nina Matthias Obituary

Matthias, Nina Marie Burlington - Nina Marie Matthias, passed away peacefully February 5th 2012 at the age of 75 with her loved ones nearby. Nina, better known as "Ma", was born in Chicago, IL on September 24 1936. She married Robert Edwards, having had three sons, Robert, Randy and Ronald, and a daughter, Renee. She later then married love of her life Clyde "Boots" Matthias, and completed her family having David and Thomas. To know Ma, was to admire her. She worked very diligently at Baxter for twenty-five plus years when she later then retired. When not working, she enjoyed horse shoes, gambling, shopping, dancing, animals, crossword puzzles and most of all her beloved Green Bay Packers! Ma had such an unconditional love for her family, and a shining heart of gold that will always be remembered. Her humor and "one liners" would enlighten any situation. To meet her once, she would leave an everlasting impression in your mind, and in your heart. Nina is survived by her children Randy (Lori) Edwards, Ronald Edwards, Renee Edwards, David (Debi) Matthias and Thomas (Patty) Matthias; twenty-three grand children and small army of great grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Boots" Matthias; son, Robert Edwards; and grandson, Christopher Cook. A gathering in celebration of Nina's life, is to be held February 18th at 3 p.m. at Bonnie and Clyde's Hideaway, located at 485 S. Jefferson St. Waterford, WI. Phone number: 262-534-3401
