Stephanie Borowy Obituary
Stephanie was born January 5, 1928 in Rib Lake, WI, and was a long time member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park. She was an accomplished seamstress and many friends and neighbors in her area were appreciative of her expertise.
Stephanie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward J. Borowy; two sons, Edward A. (Carol, nee Miller) Borowy of Dallas, TX, and John J. (Maureen) Borowy of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Christine, James, Seri, Matt and Adam; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Annie, Luke and Ethan; brothers, Louis (Dolores) Kosek of Wasau, WI and Joe (Lorraine) Kosek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and sister, Rose (Steve) Wyrostek of Chicago, IL.
She was preceded in death by three sisters; and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Father Flanagan's Girls and Boys Town, 300 Flanagan Blvd., P.O. Box 7000, Boys Town, NE 68010. Many years ago, Stephanie did quite a bit of sewing for my daughter and me. She did a beautiful job on a flower girl dress for my daughter. She was sure a talented lady, and was always so nice to chat with. I am so sorry to read about your loss. May God and your memories be a comfort to you during this time of grief. You will be in my prayers.
