Mrs. Dorothy McCullom

1928 - 2023

Mrs. Dorothy McCullom was born on March 5, 1928, in Wellborn, Florida, to the late Dolphus Weston, Sr., and Lillie Weston. Mrs. Dorothy McCullom joined the Allen Chapel at an early age. She obtained her education from the Columbia County Public School System. Mrs. Dorothy worked for Camp Blanding before starting her career at Niblack Elementary School and worked there for over 30 years, she also worked many years for Holiday Inn. Mrs. Dorothy loved fishing and would go as often as she could, including when she traveled to St. Petersburg. Cooking was another passion of hers, and she was often teased about her sunrise breakfast. Mrs. Dorothy loved and was loved by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolphus Weston, Sr. and Lillie Weston, brothers, Dolphus Weston, Jr., and Leslie Weston, Sr., sisters, Inez Massie and Daisy Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories, Daughter Linda Gail Williamson, grandchildren, Darryl Williamson and Gregory Williamson, great-grandchildren, Dariel Williamson, Gaige Williamson, and Darryl Williamson, Jr., great-great-grandchild, Ma'Laya Andrews, sisters, Rosetta Chambers (Bidwell), Jacksonville, Florida, and Gertrude Maxwell (Nathaniel decease), St. Petersburg, Florida. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:00 pm. until 7:00 pm. at Combs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 550 NE Martin Luther king Dr. Lake City, Florida.
