Dylan Moore Obituary

Our son, Dylan Christopher Moore, lost his battle with himself, to suicide, on April 24, 2018, in Lake City, Florida. He was 24 years old. Dylan was born in Orange Park, Florida, graduated from Columbia County High School and attended Florida Gateway College.
He is survived by a family that adores him: his parents Sean and Tosca Moore, his brother Sean Moore II, his sisters Chatlie Childs and Shelby Wright of Florida. Additionally, he is survived by his 2-year-old son, Asher Dane Moore and Ashers mother, Cheyenne Ayscue, of Florida. He is also outlived by his grandparents John and Jane Harris and grandmother Annette Moore of Florida. He also has a family in Texas a brother Donovan Hanson and parents Stephen and Dawn Hanson. Furthermore, he has numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who love him unconditionally and always.
Dylan captivated all of us with his fearlessness, laughter, passion for life to the extreme, his intensity and strength. His impulsiveness and determination were his character. He was a daredevil on his motorcycle. He enjoyed skateboarding, skim-boarding, kayaking, swimming, and thrill seeking. He continually amazed all of us with his charm, refreshing opinions and witty banter. To say he was unique is an understatement. He was an amazing son, brother, Dad, uncle, friend, nephew, and a spectacular troublemaker.
Dylan was courageous and brave during difficult times. Unfortunately, this time the pain was too difficult for Dylan to overcome. Dylan struggled for years with depression and anxiety. He was no longer just emotional or sad; he felt imprisoned by darkness.
His memorial services will be held on Friday, May 11,2018, at Southside Baptist Church, in Lake City, Florida, at 11:00am with a Celebration of life luncheon to follow in the reception hall.
In lieu of flowers or food please donate to Dylan's son, Asher Dane Moore. There is an account set up at First Federal Bank of Florida in Ashers name. This money will help with his special learning and sight needs in the future. Arrangements have been entrusted to ICS CREMATION & FUNERAL HOME, 357 NW Wilks Lane, Lake City, FL 32055. www.icsfuneralservices.com

Losing a child leaves a void like no other. It freshens instantly on hearing a song, smelling a scent, seeing a friend or running across a picture. God, in His tender mercies, allows us these brief encounters to remember the best of our loved ones and we will hold on to these as long as we live. I pray that you and yours are blessed with a peace that passes all understanding. Love, Edith

One of God's greatest gifts is the memories of loved ones Lost. On your mind constantly and instantly now, the memories filter down to the best of times, the best jokes, the warmest smiles, the generous gestures and more. I speak as the mother who lost a son(you may remember Lewis)with many of the same qualities as Dylan. My prayer for you and yours is that each day will be a little easier to get through than the day before. Love, Edith
