Gilmore Newkirk, III was born January 3, 1976, in Brooklyn, New York to Gilmore Newkirk, II, and Margaree Stewart. Gilmore passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Gilmore was always the light in any room he entered. He was a proud member of the Columbia High School class of 1994. Gilmore was employed with Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, FL for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as watching sports. He was a big fan of the Miami Hurricanes and the Chicago Bears and loved talking trash about both teams. He also enjoyed spending time playing video games.
Precedents in death include his mother, Margaree Stewart; mom, Deborah Ann Newkirk; aunt, Betty Lyons; and uncles, Ron Newkirk and Jack Newkirk.

Newkirk of Lake City FL; Sisters, Ruby Newkirk of Binghamton, NY, Retanna Diaby of Savannah, GA, Justine Hester (John), Somerset NJ, and Monette Newkirk of Fort Benning, GA; aunt, Connie Bell of Brooklyn, NY; god-sister, Linda Viney of Brooklyn, NY; fiancée, Janet Watts of Jacksonville, FL; hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Gilmore Newkirk, III, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Miracle Tabernacle Church, 1190 SW Sisters Welcome Rd, Lake City, FL.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at the funeral home.
