Jeff was like an uncle to I knew him ever since I was around 6 years old as one of my mom's coworkers from the V.A Hospital eventually when I was old enough for the youth volunteer program he was one of my supervisors but more like a mentor. For several years I volunteered with him as a mentor and eventually he became more like an uncle to me. He almost always had a smile on or could make me laugh and was always there for me during hard times and encouraging words. I will deeply miss him and offer my deepest condolences. love you uncle Jeff from Bigg Redd

I'm not sure where to start, but I met Jeff about 31 years ago by way of my friendship with his sister Janice. From that point on I was sister/friend. I could always count on Jeff for a laugh and a different perspective on what ever topic that was front and center on the news or community chatter. My brother the Philosopher could stand his ground with the best . He was equally Jeff from the gathering on the front porch discussion to the debate stage of Justice. I already miss him terribly, but I find comfort in knowing that there will come a time when we shall me again. Rest easy little brother.

I can remember my last conversation with Jeff at Save-A-Lot Grocery Store on last Wednesday. Our brief conversation was always the same as usual and that was: Hey Clydett or Hey Cous, how your mama doing? I can remember the days that I have spent down to his mother´s house when I was really down and needed a good laugh, cause if you knew Mrs. Joanne (R.I.P.) it was never a dull moment with her and she would have you laughing so hard you be crying. I´m really going to miss my friend. Rest In Heavenly Peace

I met Jeffrey a year ago on a trip to Italy. I chose the category of `friend´ because even though I only knew him for a week he made me feel like he was my friend and I was his. Rest in peace my friend

My condolences to Jeff´s family! Jeff and I were friends since elementary school. Years ago. I spent a many days at his house and we went fishing across highway 100 deep in the woods trekking through brush finding different water holes and ponds. In high school, what a character and great person and we remained friends! I moved away after college but we always tried to catch up when I was back in town and saw each other and had a good laugh! Awesome person!

Deeply sadden by the news of the untimely passing of Jeff. Jeff was a kind hearted and comical person. He held long extended conversations with his knowledge about local politics. I meet Jeff about ten years ago, while he worked and dated my older sister Beverly whom he meet while working at the VA. We always enjoyed spending time with Jeff when we visited the Lake City area. I last spoke with Jeff about three years ago during the untimely passing of my sister and he sent his condolences to our family. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife and children during this difficult time. Jeff was one of the good ones.
