Julia Townsend Obituary
Mrs. Townsend is survived by her daughter, Cathy Townsend Richards (Ray) of Lake City; sons, Dell Townsend of Lake City; Bill Drake of Alaska and Ronnie (Tami) Drake of Lake City; her brother, Tommy Harding of Lake City; and her beloved grandchildren, Jessica Richards of Lake City; Haley (Angel) Caban of Gainesville, Florida; Kori Drake of California; and Trey and Travis Drake of Alaska. Two very special friends, Helen Weaver McDowell and Jackie Davis Hobbs also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Townsend will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2014 in the Hopeful Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for ONE HOUR prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home, 458 S. Though death can steal your loved one, it can never steal your love. Julia lives in your heart and she lives in your memories. May you hold fast those memories and they will help you to deal with this great loss. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave in the near future is found at Hosea 13:14. May the God of loyal love comfort you during your time of sorrow.

Dell and Family:
My Deepest Sympathy in the loss of Your Mother, as I also lost a Very Good Friend.
She was a delightful Person to be around, always thoughtful, and a good listener when you needed to talk with someone about their problems.

Julia Ann I worked together for 10 years in Driver Licenses. She was one of a kind. Seems like just about anybody that came in the office knew her. We had many good laughs together. She will be missed by all that knew her. Rest now J A T you have earned it. No more DL's to issue.
